Team Pictures

Football team pictures are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22nd at 7:00am.

We have an 8:00am game that day.... sorry for the early time, but Sports Photographer Plus is only taking pictures at the football complex on both days we have 8am games.

Please arrive on time for pictures so the boys have time to get their warm-ups done before the 8am game.

Picture Packets will be distributed closer to picture day.

Saturday Night Lights - First Tournament of the Season

The Huskies did the FCCJC league proud this past weekend by putting up a strong showing against two Blue Valley Football League teams. In their first game of the season, the Huskies experienced a high school atmosphere on the turf and under the lights Saturday evening at the Blue Valley Northwest stadium. Our boys did an outstanding job by posting an 18-6 victory over the 5th Grade Division 1 Olathe East squad. The next contest was a Sunday Noon kick off against a 6th Grade Division 2 opponent. The Huskies held a 6-0 lead through the first half. At the end of regulation, were all tied up at 6-6 heading into not one, but 2 overtimes. The Huskies held their opponents until the last play of double overtime but were unable to hold them out of the end zone.....Final Score 12-6. Overall it was a good performance for the first outings of the season. Next Sunday, the Huskies take on Olathe South with a 3:00pm kick-off for their regular season opener. We are very proud of you boys....you left it all on the field and did a great job.

HEAT & WATER CONSUMPTION

PARENTS......PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HAVE THE BOYS BE DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER THROUGHOUT THE DAY BEFORE PRACTICES. IF THEY DON'T START HYDRATING UNTIL RIGHT BEFORE PRACTICE, IT WILL NOT BE AS EFFECTIVE IN KEEPING THEM COOL AND SAFE. ALSO BE SURE TO HAVE THEM BRING PLENTY OF WATER TO PRACTICE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEMPERATURES (EVEN BELOW THE FCCJC 95 DEGREE RULE) WE ARE TAKING EXTRA WATER BREAKS SO THE BOYS SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH WITH THEM TO SUPPORT THEIR NEEDS. BE ASSURED THAT THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF IS PAYING SPECIFIC ATTENTION TO THE TEMPERATURES AND MONITORING THE BOYS ACTIVITIES FOR MAXIMUM SAFETY. ANY QUESTIONS, DON'T HESITATE TO ASK.

If for any reason you have not seen one, please see one of the coaches for your copy. You are being asked to sign and return the contract in the back of the flyer with your FCCJC payment and paperwork.
